About Wisconsin Procurement Institute
How are we doing?

The Wisconsin Procurement Institute has developed and hosts the government contractor’s community web portal www.B2Gconnect.org. This website provides online information and education, as well as offers a daily bid matching service to Wisconsin businesses and organizations.

WPI is a non-profit organization that was established 20 years ago by Wisconsin’s Congressman Les Aspin. Its mission is to assist Wisconsin companies with Government contracting - helping firms successfully enter and develop their Government market segment. In the last 5 years, Wisconsin businesses have credited WPI with helping them win several billion dollars in Federal dollars which translates to supporting over 6,000 jobs annually across the State.

Through events, seminars and conferences (including "Wisconsin in Washington" an annual Washington D.C. conference, Volk Field Small Business Outreach Conference, Bridging the Gap to Washington, and the Governor's Awards for Federal Contracting awarded at the B2Gconnect Conference), WPI works with businesses throughout the State. As the hosts of national and regional federal conferences, WPI brings new opportunities directly to communities across the state. WPI also offers small group and individual training, statewide outreach and individual assistance to companies and organizations. [Current events and conference information is available at http://b2gconnect.org ]

Not only does WPI provide technical and professional expertise and experience to Wisconsin's business community, they have successfully engaged our State’s most successful government contractors to mentor and teach developing small business suppliers. In addition, WPI actively engages our Congressional delegation and staff. Information about Wisconsin’s Federal delegation is available at www.legis.state.wi.us/lrb/bb/07bb/pdf/11-17.pdf

WPI works throughout the State -- in rural and urban areas -- with large, small, well-established and newly created businesses in areas of manufacturing, technology, construction, research, IT and services. WPI works closely with Federal, State and Local small business programs to maximize the opportunities and market success for disadvantaged, minority, woman, disabled and veteran owned firms as well as those located in designated HUBzone and distressed areas.

WPI provides the help that is necessary for businesses to succeed in winning Federal awards and contracts.

The Wisconsin Procurement Institute, which serves as a Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), is funded in part through a cooperative agreement from the Department of Defense (DOD) through a program that is administered by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The content of any written materials or verbal communications of the PTAC does not necessarily reflect the official views of or imply endorsement by DOD or DLA.
