Eligibility Requirements for the VOSB/SDVOSB & SDVOSB/SDVOSB Certification

To qualify for VOSB/SDVOSB certification, your business must meet the following eligibility requirements:

A Veteran or Service-Disabled Veteran must own 51% or more of the company and:
Have full unconditional and direct management and operational control.
Hold the highest position in the company.
Be the highest compensated person in the company.
Have Form DD214 issued upon retirement, separation, or discharge from active military duty.
Possess management and technical experience to operate daily business operations.
Devote full-time hours to the business and hold no other positions with other businesses.
Must operate a properly structured, registered, and licensed company.
Must have Federal Tax ID Number and DUNS Number.
Must register a company in System for Award Management (SAM—formerly CCR and ORCA)
Must register with the VA’s Beneficiary Identification Records Locator Subsystem (BIRLS) database—the local VA office can assist.
All federal debts and obligations must be paid.
